1. Accepting these Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Curse It application, website, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. The Service is not intended for children.

2. What Curse It is

Curse It is a private, darkly playful entertainment and general-wellbeing experience. It lets you speak or type about a frustrating situation, interact with an abstract ragdoll, complete a visual ritual, and optionally save a structured private summary.

The Service may use automated speech processing and safety classification. Automated systems can make mistakes. Do not rely on the Service for medical, legal, employment, safety, or other high-stakes decisions.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Curse It privately for your own entertainment and emotional release. You agree not to:

• use the Service to make or facilitate a credible threat, plan violence, stalk, intimidate, blackmail, or harass anyone;
• target a child, enter a child's information, or encourage harm involving a minor;
• attack people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or another protected characteristic;
• enter real names, contact details, account credentials, profile links, financial details, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive information;
• publish, export, or represent a private ritual as a message sent by Curse It to another person;
• circumvent safety measures, usage limits, purchase verification, cooldowns, or security controls;
• reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, or misuse the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

We may refuse or alter a game response, stop a ritual response, restrict access, or preserve limited records where reasonably necessary to operate safely, prevent fraud, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

4. Purchases and entitlements

The first ritual may be provided free per eligible installation. Additional rituals may require consumable session credits sold in one-, five-, or fifteen-session packs. Cosmetic Ritual Scene packs may be sold as permanent non-consumable unlocks. Available products and localized prices are shown in the App Store purchase sheet before confirmation.

Apple processes purchases and applies its payment, refund, family-sharing, tax, and storefront rules. We do not operate an auto-renewing subscription under the current product model. You are responsible for reviewing the displayed product and price before confirming a purchase.

Consumable credits may not restore in the same way as permanent non-consumable content. If a verified transaction does not grant the expected entitlement, use in-app restore where available and contact Support.

5. Optional Archive

The private Archive is optional. You are responsible for any alias or structured item you choose to save. Do not use a real identity, contact detail, or profile link as an alias. You can delete individual items or clear the Archive. We do not promise indefinite availability of optional saved data and recommend that you do not treat it as an essential record.

6. Immediate safety

If you believe you may harm yourself or another person, if someone is in immediate danger, or if a situation requires urgent help, stop using Curse It and contact your local emergency services or an appropriate qualified crisis service immediately. The Service is not monitored in real time and cannot dispatch assistance.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, characters, visual designs, animations, text, logos, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Curse It and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service as intended.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, replace, or discontinue features, providers, prices, scenes, effects, or compatibility. We will take reasonable care not to remove a paid permanent entitlement without an appropriate remedy, subject to law and platform rules. Internet access and a compatible device may be required for speech processing, purchase verification, and other features.

9. Disclaimers and limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or a guaranteed emotional outcome. We do not promise that using Curse It will improve your mood or resolve the underlying situation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Curse It and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or losses arising from misuse of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The effective date above identifies the current version. If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the app. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Contact

A working contact for questions about these Terms will be published on the Support page before the public app launches. This website does not currently accept messages. Do not submit recordings, transcripts, real names, or other sensitive ritual content.
